Day with Daddy

July 12th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Today, Daddy took me to see Wall-E while Mommy went over to help out Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw.  This was the first time Daddy took me to see a movie.  He got us popcorn, fruit chews and punch to snack on during the movie.  I was a good girl and I didn’t talk much during the previews or movie, and when I did, I whispered to Daddy.  I think he was surprised that a 3-year old could be so good.  By the way, I really like the Madagascar 2 preview with the “He Likes to Move It” song–I was singing it later in the day.  I like Wall-E a lot.  And I like the way he says his name.  I can do a pretty good imitation of it.

After the movie, Daddy stopped to get lunch and we went back to Gram’s house and ate there.  I asked Daddy if we could watch the bunny movie (Ed. note: Pixar’s Presto) on his phone, and I watched it over and over.  After lunch, I played with Daddy and Gram, and Daddy even painted my toenails pink.

Then I laid down and took a nap for a while on Gram’s sofa.  When I woke up, Daddy, Gram and I went to Toys R Us to get a car seat for me for MaMa Jackie’s car.  Daddy got me a toy set with Wall-E, Eve and the lunchbox (with Wall-E’s friend bug on it).

We then went to Maw Maw and Paw Paw’s house and I got to see Mommy again.  I was happy to see her.  I got to show her my new toys, too.  We ate dinner, then we came home, and I got my bath and Mommy read me a book.  It’s nighty, night time, so I’m off to bed.

(Ed. note:  Daddy thinks Megan had a good time today…he surely did!)

First ride on “it’s a small world”

March 17th, 2006 · No Comments

Mommy, Daddy and I went to the Magic Kingdom today and we met Uncle Chris and Aunt Melissa there.  We walked around for a while, and then all of us went on “it’s a small world.”  It was my first time, and boy, did I like it!  I liked looking at all the dolls dancing to the fun song while we were riding in the boat.  I think this is my new favorite ride.

My day with Jeff Gordon

February 17th, 2006 · No Comments

Daddy’s favorite race car driver is Jeff Gordon and he had an opportunity to meet him today (for the third time).  Daddy brought Mommy and me along so we could meet Jeff as well.

We left home early and we got to Daytona and the event tent on time.  Then we waited for Jeff to arrive and the MC noticed me and told everyone that I was the youngest fan there.  And at only nine months old, I surely was.  Jeff arrived and told us some stories and answered questions, then it was time to take pictures and get autographs.  Since we sat in the back of the tent, we had to wait a while before it was our turn, and since we got such an early start, I decided to take a short nap.

Well, I guess I was really tired, because I slept through meeting Jeff.  Daddy told me later that Jeff had said that I was a beautiful baby girl.  And I did get my picture with him as Daddy was holding me.

Even though I missed the most important part of the day, I had a fun time.  Go Jeff Gordon!

Happy New Year!

January 1st, 2006 · No Comments

Since it’s the start of the new year and Daddy needs a break from all the computer work he does, I (Megan) am going to start writing my own entries from now on.  I’ve watched Daddy bang on the keys on his Mac long enough, so I know exactly what I’m doing.

Uncle Scott and Ben stopped by today on their way back home from Miami to tell us “hi.”  It sure was good seeing them again.

I hope everyone has a great 2006!

Megan eats solid food

October 15th, 2005 · No Comments

Megan ate cereal today.  It was pretty messy and she didn’t like the texture and/or taste at first, but she got the hang of it and she did pretty well.
